01 · Why this name

Most good domains are descriptive or short. This one is both.

  • It says exactly what it does.

Nobody needs the name explained. Web authentication is the category, and the domain is the category.

  • “Auth” is everyday developer shorthand.

It's the word developers already use in code, docs and standups: auth flows, auth tokens, the auth team.

  • Seven letters, two syllables.

Easy to say on a call, easy to type into a terminal, hard to misspell.

  • .ai fits where authentication is heading.

Logins now have to work for people and for the agents acting on their behalf. The extension says so without a tagline.

02 · What you could build on it

A product home, or a launch URL.

It works as the front door for a company or as a single clear address for one launch. A few obvious fits:

  • passkeysA passkey or passwordless product line
  • agentsAn AI-agent or MCP authentication launch
  • docsA developer documentation hub
  • guideAn adoption guide for passwordless login
  • campaignA campaign URL you never have to spell out

03 · Why now

Logins aren't just for people anymore.

Authentication used to mean one thing: a person proving who they are. That's changing. Agents now read, write, book and buy on a user's behalf, and every one of those actions needs a credential that is scoped, verifiable and easy to revoke.

The teams solving that problem need a name that covers both halves, the person and the agent, without a paragraph of explanation. WebAuth.ai does it in one word people already know.

04 · How buying works

Four steps, no surprises.

Typically done within a few days to a week. Lease-to-own over 6 to 12 months is available.

  1. Agree terms by email

Send an offer through the form or write to offers@webauth.ai. We settle the price and terms in writing.

  2. Escrow.com holds the funds

You pay into escrow. I don't get paid until the domain is yours.

  3. The domain transfers

By registrar push or auth code, whichever you prefer.

  4. Escrow.com releases the funds

Once you confirm the domain is in your account, escrow pays out and we're done.

05 · FAQ

Questions buyers ask.

Is the price negotiable?

Yes. $45,000 is the asking price and I'll consider serious offers. Use the form and include a number.

Is a payment plan possible?

Yes. Lease-to-own over 6 to 12 months is available, with the transfer completing on the final payment.

What's included?

The domain name only. No site, no code, no accounts, nothing to untangle.

How long does the transfer take?

Usually a few days to a week, depending on the transfer method and how quickly paperwork moves on both sides.

Who's selling?

Me, Michael Sharkey. I own the domain and I'm selling it directly, so there's no broker in the middle.
